The Haunted Hunts: Project Invocation
The evil twist at the heart of the fourth series of 'The Haunted Hunts' promises to push Danny Moss and his team of investigators to the limits of their fears.

Since Danny and the team took us to the legendary Pendle Hill last year in their third series, fans have been waiting to find out what adventures are still to come for the team, now we have an idea of how terrifying things might get as a new trailer for the fourth series has dropped.

'The Haunted Hunts: Project Invocation' will serve as the fourth series of the hit Amazon Prime show, and this time Danny, along with Rebecca Salisbury-Moss, Emma Dawe, Charlie Rutter, and Roxanne Rutter are on a mission to test whether or not human fear can invoke paranormal activity.

The project's aims are based on the belief that fear itself can conjure up a supernatural entity, or drive any existing entities already lurking at a location to become more active, but the team must also balance this out with the knowledge that fear can cause the human brain to see or hear things that aren't really there.

Lead investigator, Danny, said "'Project Invocation' is a completely new challenge for the team, we've had some fantastic success over the last three seasons and that was down to our research and tactical approach however, in season four we've been sent in completely blind to each location so it’s been very difficult knowing what techniques to use."

Unlike the previous three series, this time around the team have no idea where they're going or what they might encounter over the course of ten new investigations. The team will be in the dark as they head out on their investigation, the only information they'll have is the location's postcode as given to them on the morning of the investigation.

Danny added, "I think I can comfortably say that all of us have had some real scary moments in this series and it's even brought one of the team to tears! 'Project Invocation' has been fascinating because it's not only aimed at tearing whether or not our fear can invoke anything but it also shows how powerful the imagination is when you're placed in a horrible situation, we've had some fantastic debunk moments."

The trailer for the ten new episodes teases the upcoming series, which will drop on Amazon Prime and on the show's official Patreon stream this October.

The new series promises to be the most interesting to date, not only because the team will be taking part in a unique paranormal experiment, but also because even the specific details of how they will investigate the location will be unknown to the fearless ghost hunters.

Upon arrival at each of the ten locations, the team will be given instructions on where they should go and how they should conduct their investigations, so expect terrifying lone vigils, unsettling sensory deprivation experiments, and team members being pushed outside of their comfort zones.

Back at HQ, it will be the job of team members Alice and Nick to set the team their assignment and set their tasks. Danny says, "fans saw glimpses of Nick and Alice in series three, but in this latest series they are really introduced as part of The Haunted Hunts family. They've absolutely tortured us over the last few months but they’ve been a real credit to what we've done."

The team's new series lands on Amazon Prime and The Haunted Hunts Extra in October. The ten new episodes will follow the team as they investigate a series of all-new locations without any prior knowledge of the dark history that each location hides, or what is supposed to haunt them.

Danny is excited for followers of the show to see what the latest series has to offer, "I'm hoping that fans enjoy this latest series as much as season three, which I know was very popular and even though this is a completely different format than the previous two series, I think everyone will enjoy it just as much. I'd like to personally thank everyone for their incredible support towards this show."

The new episodes follows the team's successful 2020 series in which the team tackled a number of hauntings related to the stories of suffering, execution and witchcraft at Pendle Hill in Lancashire, the location of one of the country's most infamous series of witch trials.

The team's second series, 'Civitas Spirituum', focussed on the historic walled city of Cheshire and premiered in 2019. It saw the gang investigate six of the city's most haunted locations including Ye Olde Kings Head, the Pied Bull and the Dewa Roman Experience.

Back in 2018, their first series, 'Behind The Shadows', saw the team investigate some of the UK's most famously haunted locations, including Pool Park Asylum, Antwerp Mansion and the infamous Ancient Ram Inn.

If you can't wait until October for 'Project Invocation' then you can re-watch all three previous series and the team's Codnor cottage special on Amazon Prime or YouTube now.
