Christmas End Of Year Review
December 24, 2015 4:35 PM
So here it's, Merry Christmas everybody's something something something... so I've been back in Bristol for a week now and been really enjoying a break from work but still kept he freelance bits ticking over.
I haven't worked as much as I originally planned as I've been quite busy socially, Friday and Monday I got some work in in the morning for two hours but then Tuesday and yesterday I was out of the house at 8:30am but I've made up for it today. Although it's Christmas Eve I've managed to plough through a few things on my to do list.
Yesterday was good, I met about with a YouTubers, Frances who runs a channel I really like. We had lunch, hung out for a bit and made a couple of videos together. One for her channel and one for mine, however unfortunately the one for my channel didn't seem to record... but hey, that's an excuse to meet up again and work on some more content together.
It's been a fun week back in Bristol, I've been really busy, seen lots of friends and had much fun. I even hosted a Yuletide BBQ on Monday night to coincide with the Winter Solstice, my modern version of gathering around a yule log.
All this fun back in Bristol massively adds to my realisation that I need to move back to Bristol sometime, some how... but that's thought for next year, right now, let's look back at 2015.
The end of this year has been great, going back to mid-October when I started my new regime, I feel like I've been much more productive and much more focussed on the things really matter to me. For over two months I've been putting my energy into my projects by working early mornings, I've lost a lot of weight, I've saved a lot of money and I'm generally feeling good about myself and my life.
It's been a great year on YouTube. I've managed to make one video a week for the whole year and broken the 50k subscribers mark and 5 million lifetime views. I'm really pleased and proud of the new Imaging Blueprint website I've worked on and Countdown To Red Cups had another massive year.
Of course in 2016, there's a long way to go. I'm at 28% of my camper van saving target. I've dropped from being "obese" to "overweight" so I aim to drop below that overweight marker. On YouTube next year I want to get to 50k subs and do 10 million views next year.
Also, I need to think about where my life is heading, it's not realistic to stay in London, I don't want to be sharing a flat forever, I want my own space or I want to find a lovely lady to share with but meeting people in London is also tough. It all points to Bristol where I could have a two bedroom house with a garden for what I pay to share in London and I have a bigger circle of friends with more chance of being introduced to new people.
So anyway, for this year thanks to many of you for being a part of an amazing year... especially Steve, Beth, Lyndsey, Adam, Tom, Toby, Rebecca, Kevin and Chris, who started all of this new thinking.
Have a very merry Christmas and a highly happy new year!
