My experience with live streaming video on the internet started in 2009 with the pop band McFly and a simple webcam. Over the next few years my knowledge of streaming video protocols and technology improved in leaps and bounds and before long I was directing and vision mixing multi-camera live streams simulcast online and on the traditional linear broadcast channels.
I've streamed live to Wowza media servers using on site encoding both externally and on internal networks. I've also pushed professional quality live video on to platforms including Justin.TV, Livestream, YouTube and Facebook.
I've worked with everything from USB webcams to high-end, professional cameras and remote controlled Panasonic hot head camera. I've used a wide range of Black Magic kit including video cards, video routers, the ATEM studio and various recording devices.
I have experience in planning live shows for streaming including all aspects of pre-production, user interaction, social marketing and post-stream distribution.
