YouTube Finally Offers Realtime Analytics
September 19, 2014 10:09 AM ‐ YouTube
YouTube's video analytics have always been notoriously slow to update, now Creators can see realtime statistics online.
Google first introduced realtime stats earlier this year through its Creator Studio app for iOS and Android, now the same live data is available through the Creator Studio section of the YouTube website.
While most of the stats stay the same, with a two day lag time, users can now click the 'Realtime' button to see up-to-the-minute video views.
The realtime panel breaks down views over the last 48 hours, 24 hours and the last hour.
This new tool makes it much easier for Creators to spot a video which is getting a large number of views without having to wait for reports to refresh.
The page updates in realtime, similar to Google Analytics' realtime reporting.
