How To Summon A Fairy With A Magic Potion
This article is more than four years old.
Would you like your own fairy to help you around the home or to flutter at the end of your garden, I'll show you how to brew a magical potion to summon one. You'll need a few simple ingredients and a bit of patience.
1. Water

You'll first need to prepare your cauldron by placing it over a hot flame. Then pour in a 0.4 billilitre bottle of spring water, ideally from a small garden brook.
2. Dragonfly's Wing

Next let a dragonfly's wing flutter into your cauldron. Dargonflies can be very hard to catch due to the speed and manoeuvrability, but luckily you can buy their wings in the freeze aisle in most supermarkets.
3. Fairy Dust

The add a pinch of fairy dust. This is what comes out when a fairy sneezes, it's then bottle and sold by Mexicans.
4. Devil's Lilac

Then drop in a single petal from a devil's lilac, a highly seasonal plant which flowers in western Europe in the spring.
5. Heat

Gently heat your potion over the flame until you see pink vaporous gasses. Then remove your cauldron from the heat.
6. Wait

Place your cauldron outside, as close to nature as possible and wait. You'll need to keep your eyes peeled as fairies move really fast.
7. Uses

Once your fairy materialises she'll be your loyal friend and companion appearing whenever you need her.

Not only are fairies great company, but they also make excellent reading lights due to their magical glow.
