Fans of 'Most Haunted' are in for a treat this Halloween as the long-running ghost hunting show, fronted by Yvette Fielding, returns with a week of new episodes over Halloween with an "as live" special on the night of Tuesday 31st October, 2017.
Yvette returns to the Really channel on Friday 27th October, 2017, along with Karl Beattie, Stuart Torevell, Glen Hunt, Fred Batt, and of course the show's paranormal pursuing pup, Watson.
Fans were hoping for a fully live episodes, but Really's announcement of a new series packed into the week of Halloween will make up for the fact that the Halloween special is a pre-recorded. The show has already been filmed at Liverpool's Croxteth Hall, a grade II listed country estate which dates back to 1575.

The week of Most Haunted starts on the Friday before Halloween. The first episode follows Yvette and the team as they investigate Rowley's House in Shrewsbury. Over the next few night the team will move on to The Fleece Inn in Worcestershire, and Haden Hill House in the West Midlands for a two part investigation.
Then the "as live" show will air as a three-house special on the night of Halloween form 10pm. The show will be produced in the same style as one of the live shows, meaning it will be unedited and uncut. And speaking of cuts, listen out during the show for the creepy sound of scissor cutting, just minutes before a pair of scissors fly through the air at the team.
After Halloween, four additional episodes will air over the following weeks, filmed at The Old House in Leicestershire, West Yorkshire's Keighley Bus Museum, and The Judges' Lodgings in North Yorkshire.
One of the show's host and creators, Karl Beattie previously announced that a new series of the show was starting on Really this October.

This isn't the first time fans have been given an "as live" show. In 2016, rather than full blown live episodes, viewers were given a two hour long "as live" edition, filmed in realtime at HM Prison Shrewsbury.
The last true live show was in 2015 when the team visited 30 East Drive in Pontefract, the West Yorkshire house is said to be one of the most haunted houses in the UK. The episode marked the 32nd live show, the first of which was broadcast from Dudley Castle in 2002.
The Most Haunted team are no strangers to Croxteth Hall, they first visited in 2004. The manor house is said to be haunted by numerous ghosts which have been sighted by visitors to the property and even caught on CCTV. Some say the haunting could be caused by the spirit of a former resident, the second Earl of Sefton, William Philip Molyneux, it’s said his ghost wanders the grounds.
