The Haunted Hunts: Project Invocation - 'Williamson Tunnels'

The Haunted Hunts team are once again pushed to the limits of their fears with a series of paranormal experiments in a network of abandoned manmade tunnels in Liverpool as 'Project Invocation' continues - an experiment designed to test if fear itself can invoke paranormal activity.

In the sixth episode Danny Moss, Rebecca Salisbury-Moss, Emma Dawe, Charlie Rutter and Roxanne Rutter head to Williamson Tunnels for a night-long locked down in its maze of subterranean passageways. None of the team had any idea where they were going before the investigation and had no clue what to expect there.

Once at the location, Danny is handed instructions for the team on how to conduct their investigation. The team don't look pleased as Danny reads the sheet of paper, "tonight, you will enter the Williamson Tunnels one by one, on your own." He continues, "during these lone vigils the rest of the team will remain here in the base room."

Emma was the first to brave the tunnels alone, where straight away she admitted to feeling vulnerable in the dark and damp space alone, she said "even now, halfway through filming this series, every lone vigil I still have extreme anxiety levels." She was right to be unsure about the tunnels, as the location didn't fail to terrify her.

Rox was next up in the tunnels and had an equally unsettling and at times terrifying time. Rox said afterwards, "it's just a weird feeling, one side of the mine is quiet I'd say, and the other side there's noises coming from it. So I'm not looking forward to going back in there."

Next up was Danny, followed by Becki who said, "I think this is the worst place with been yet, I'm absolutely crapping myself." Afterwards she described it as the scariest lone vigil she'd ever done. Charlie was last to head down to the tunnels, but despite his best efforts was unable to capture any evidence of the paranormal.

For the second part of the investigation the team had some safety in numbers. Split into two groups, the team ventured back inside the tunnels. Becki, Emma and Charlie set themselves up in one area, where they used a ghost hunting gadget called an IntraVox.

Danny and Rox were at the other side of the underground space using a similar device called an After Life Box. The pair experienced a fairly quiet investigation, apart from one unexplainable moment.

After the investigation, Danny said, "from a psychological point of view, it was very obvious that our imaginations had created something out of nothing. Being placed in an uncomfortable position in a supposed haunted location with strange noises around us, had lead us to believe there were paranormal events happening."

The team's journey continues at four more terrifying locations where they'll be given another set of taxing challenges to test their nerve and push them to the limits of their fear. We'll be bringing you an episode guide for the next instalment of 'Project Invocation' tomorrow.
