Wigan Ghost Hunter Attacked By Poltergeist

Series Two, Episode Seven - Saturday April 3, 2021

What better on a bank holiday weekend than an hour of bizarre clips from the paranormal world. Jayne Harris, Ciarán O'Keeffe, Barri Ghai and Deborah Davies are once again on hand to watch and critique some of the most bizarre unexplained videos captured by people around the world on mobile phones and CCTV.

This week 'Unexplained: Caught On Camera' brings us a whole host of odd clips including an American homeowner who captures ghostly goings on in his house, an urban explorer who captured sinister voices in an underground bunker, and paranormal activity is caught on camera at a creepy cottage.

Ghost Hunter In The Firing Line In Haunted Shop

In this week's episode we meet YouTuber, Felicity Duffy, who investigates creepy locations on her aptly named YouTube channel, Exploring with Felicity, but the Grimsby-based investigator finds herself in the firing line in an eerie shop where she got more than she bargained for.

In the clip we see Felicity exploring the abandoned shop, which still has stock left on its shelves. After hearing unexplained footsteps, she goes to investigate the adjoining house, which is littered with the former owner's possessions.

Suddenly, while upstairs on the landing, a glass is seemingly thrown from nowhere, and moments later a framed picture flew off of the wall, but the worse was yet to come. A little later Felicity was hit on the back of the head by a flying object

After watching the clip, Deborah said, "this is some fantastic footage here of some paranormal activity." What's shown in the video could be the work of a poltergeist. Barri tells us, "poltergeist activity is a noisy spirit, a violent entity that's able to move objects a manipulate furniture."

But does this footage show real poltergeist activity? Ciarán isn't so sure. He said, "the issue is here that we don't have the full trajectory of that glass, so we don't see the start point, we only see the end point." He adds, "there is always the potential for a location to be haunted, but in terms of the footage I've seen, I remain skeptical about that."

Phantom Psychiatric Patients Haunt New Yorker's Long Island Home

Also in tonight's episode, we meet Nick who claims to have been experiencing strange paranormal happenings in his New York home and at work. Since 2019 he's been sharing the clips on his TikTok profile, NickCimino68.

The clips appear to show toys taking on a life of their own, objects being thrown - especially in the basement, glass smashing, appliances turning on and off, and objects moving for unexplained reasons.

Nick has lived in the house since he was a child and says it has always been haunted, but things got worse when the family decided to sell up and move. He said, "as we started the process of moving, we have learned that the spirits do not like that. I think they're just used to us being here since we've been here for so many years."

As they were clearing the house out, Nick came across a bag stuffed in an electricity box in the basement. The bag contained patient files and ID cards from the nearby Kings Park Psychiatric Center, a grim institution that operated for over 100 years before closing in 1996.

Nick thinks that this bag could explain the ghosts he's been sharing the house with since he was a kid. Barri said, "there could well be a spirit attached to these ID tags he found." Jayne agreed, "we can only imagine the emotion, the heightened fear and anxiety that those people may have been going through. If they were wearing those ID tags for the entire time they were there, who knows what paranormal energy they've absorbed."

Python Hunter Spooked In Eerie Abandoned Underground City

Next up we meet Zak Ketchum from the YouTube channel Catch Em All Fishing, who's notched up more than three million subscribers thanks to his videos in which he captures wildlife in Florida.

In the video that features in this episode of 'Unexplained: Caught On Camera', Zak captures more than a wild creature when he went hunting for pythons in an abandoned bunker in the Florida Everglades.

While alone in the eerie subterranean location, Zak started hearing the strange mumbling of human voices echoing through the tunnels and fled to the surface. However, when he reviewed his footage he found that he'd captured an apparition on camera. The large mystery figure is briefly visible in Zak's footage, despite the fact that the YouTuber didn't see anyone stood there at the time.

After watching the clip, Barri said, "I'm not entirely sure whether Zak caught an apparition on camera, it could well be a person - it could have been someone that was lurking in this abandoned bunker." Although Barri does describe the rest of the activity as unexplained and thinks it could be a genuine apparition caught on camera.

Unexplained Poltergeist Activity Captured In Cambridgeshire Cottage

The panel of experts also take a look at a clip shot by Andrew Ward, who claims his Cambridgeshire cottage is haunted and thinks his footage proves it.

The footage was first reported in a local news story back in 2017 and shows what Andrew believes is the moment a spirit opens his bedroom window.

In the clip we see the window latch inexplicably lift of its own accord, before swinging clear of the window seconds before the heavy window itself swings open.
