Bulb was founded by Amit and Hayden, two friends from the traditional energy industry. They saw how inefficient, confusing and unfair things were for customers. Not to mention the environmental damage. So they decided to do something about it. Bulb is that something.

I signed up with Bulb Energy last summer using a friend's £50 referral link. What is my experience with Bulb? Well, from getting £50 off when I signed up onwards it's been trouble free. The switchover process was very smooth, I was on holiday when it all went through so I didn't really notice it at the time. I didn't have exit fees on my existing account, but Bulb pay them if you have. My bills were immediately lower, I felt better about using renewable energy - and having those two things together is fantastic. But even things you wouldn't think were THAT important have been great. The website is very easy to use, submitting energy readings and seeing a graph of your usage is great. It ooks really good on mobile too.
Calls to customer care - you hardly ever have to wait, and when you get through they're really helpful and quickly sort out any issues.
