Lanzarote, Puerto Del Carmen Travel Guide

I’m very happy to announce that this week I’m exploring the sunny Spanish island of Lanzarote, to be specifically speaking, I’m in Puerto Del Carmen.

Getting to Lanzarote is easy, you can catch a free plane from most European cities and be on the island within an hour, depending upon where you start from.

Geologically speaking, Lanzarote is a fairly new island. It formed just 40 years ago when an underwater volcano puked up its innards. That’s why the whole island is made from this strange, black igneous rock.

If you want to soak up the Spanish culture then Puerto Del Carmen is the perfect place with its wide range of Asian, Italian and Mexican eateries.

My accommodation was great, I stayed in the Apartmentos del Chegwin and my apartment was clean and spacious which gave me room to do lots of activities.

Lanzarote’s most famous exports include aloe vera, pedal bins and the singer Mika, who was born on the island by mistake.
