'The Curse Of Lizzie Borden' Coming To Discovery+

'The Curse Of Lizzie Borden' sees paranormal investigator Dave Schrader assemble a team of experts to investigate whether a dark family curse led to one of the most infamous axe murders in US history.

The new two-hour 'Shock Doc' streams exclusively on Discovery+ from Friday, September 10 and will explore the paranormal darkness behind Lizzie Borden that no one has ever seen, pairing narrative tales of terror with real-life interviews and actual EVP recordings.

On 4th August 1892, Andrew and Abby Borden were brutally murdered in Fall River Massachusetts, and subsequently, Andrew's daughter Lizzie was tried and acquitted of the axe murders of her father and stepmother.

No one else was ever charged for the crimes and despite being ostracised by the community, Borden spent the remainder of her life in Fall River.

With new evidence that Lizzie Borden's ghost resides in the infamous century old 'murder house' where the killings took place, Dave and his team conduct a séance in an attempt to unearth the truth and finally close the portal of evil for good.

Dave assembles a team of paranormal investigators, all with ties to the infamous mystery. Empath Luann Joly and direct descendent of Lizzie Borden, Sam Baltrusis, join Dave to investigate the unsolved murders.

The Discovery+ original, 'The Curse Of Lizzie Borden' delves into the dark and untold supernatural world of Lizzie Borden, combining the aesthetics of the horror genre with the investigative insight.

Based on a hunch that the the evil entity that resides in the Lizzie Borden house could be the same one that is said to lurk in the near by Bridgewater Triangle, the team also head to Hockomock Swamp at the centre of the Bridgewater Triangle, an area known for sightings of spirits, orbs, imps and demons.

Here, they learn the entity calls himself "Anvelo" and has been following the Borden Family for hundreds of years with murder and destruction. With the help of 'Help! My House Is Haunted' psychic Chris Fleming, Dave, Luann and Sam attempt to speak to Lizzie Borden and finally close the portal of evil forever.
