A new online platform dedicated to paranormal discussion is quietly gaining traction around the world. Paranormal Country is a niche social network aimed at people with an interest in hauntings, UFOs, cryptids, and other unexplained phenomena. It offers a mixture of forums and social media features, but without adverts, algorithms, or off-topic content.
The website is run from the UK but has a growing international user base. It currently hosts over 200 active forums and more than 195 country-specific groups covering local legends, sightings, and folklore. Members have already shared hundreds of posts, personal stories, and theories, and the platform is continuing to grow through word-of-mouth.
Michael Hulse, the site's founder, said, "I've had a passion for the paranormal for over 25 years, but I always felt mainstream platforms either ridiculed it or drowned it in noise. There was no dedicated, respectful space to connect globally. I built Paranormal Country because I believe these subjects matter - and so do the people who experience them."
Michael has a background in digital infrastructure, media, and community storytelling. He built Paranormal Country as a space for people who often feel isolated in their beliefs or experiences. "A sense of connection and validation," he said. "Whether someone had a sighting, a dream, a near-death experience, or just endless curiosity - they now have a place to share and find others like them."
Although still relatively new, the site already has members joining from across the world - not just the usual UK and US audience, but also from places like Brazil, South Africa, and Eastern Europe. Discussions cover twelve key topics, from psychic phenomena to ancient mysteries, and the content is entirely driven by its members. There are also original articles, themed communities, and live discussions.
"It's been humbling," Michael said. "The community is growing daily, and the stories people are sharing are incredible. The support has been organic but steady, and I've had great feedback from people who finally feel seen and heard."
Paranormal Country has also recently launched a spin-off project focused on haunted accommodation, which is expected to grow alongside the main platform.
