A new UK-based organisation focused on UFO transparency is set to launch later this month at a high-profile event in central London. The group, UFO Disclosure UK, will be unveiled on Sunday 19th May at the Karma Sanctum Hotel in Soho, with the evening also marking the UK premiere of 'The King Of UFOs', a new documentary by filmmaker and UFO researcher Mark Christopher Lee.

Mark, who is known for his work on the subject of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), will lead the group, which is calling for greater government openness about the UFO topic. The launch coincides with a growing number of unusual aerial sightings reported across the UK and an increasing public demand for answers.

At the event, the group will deliver a formal statement urging the UK Government to declassify files related to UFOs, investigate unexplained aerial sightings with full transparency, and introduce whistleblower protections similar to those recently enacted in the United States.

"We are not dealing with science fiction - we are dealing with real events, real sightings, and real security implications," said Mark. "The UK is falling behind the US when it comes to open dialogue and transparency. We must create an independent, safe platform for whistleblowers in the UK to share what they know - without fear of ridicule or reprisal."

The group says its long-term goals include encouraging serious academic and scientific study of UAPs, as well as creating platforms for those who have witnessed or documented unexplained encounters to come forward.

A central part of the launch event will be the premiere screening of 'The King Of UFOs', a new documentary written and directed by Mark. The film explores long-standing claims that the British royal family has taken a private interest in the UFO phenomenon for decades.

According to Mark, both Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip treated the subject with genuine seriousness, and that interest may have been passed down to King Charles III. "The Queen and Prince Philip took UFOs seriously," he says in the film. "And I have been given information by a palace insider that this knowledge and passion was passed on by Prince Philip to his son – King Charles. If they take the subject seriously, why can't we?"

The documentary, produced in partnership with the Raindance Film Festival, combines archive footage, interviews, and claims from insiders to piece together the monarchy's hidden relationship with the phenomenon.

In a public statement, the group has also extended an invitation to pop star Robbie Williams, asking him to serve as a public figurehead for the campaign. Robbie has previously spoken about his own UFO sightings and has long expressed a genuine interest in the topic.

"Robbie has long been a champion for taking the UFO topic seriously," said Mark. "He has both the courage and the cultural influence to help shift the conversation from the margins into the mainstream. We believe his involvement could be truly historic."

The formation of UFO Disclosure UK follows what the group describes as a sharp rise in reported sightings across the country over the past 18 months. Many of these incidents involve craft described as silent, fast-moving, and showing no obvious signs of propulsion - often captured on video by witnesses who claim the objects behave beyond the limits of conventional drone technology.

"We're years behind the United States in terms of disclosure – this is a serious issue," Mark said. "I literally have tens of people contacting me each day with videos of unknown drones or UAPs in the sky. It is of defence significance, and I'm calling on Prime Minister Keir Starmer to take it seriously."

The launch of UFO Disclosure UK and the premiere screening of 'The King Of UFOs' will take place on Sunday 19th May 2025 at the Karma Sanctum Hotel, located at 20 Warwick Street, Soho, London. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the event is open to the public, with press, aviation experts, political figures, researchers, and whistleblowers all encouraged to attend.
