Matt Rife Joins 'Ghost Adventures' For Paranormal Investigation At Haunted Nevada Casino

Comedian and self-confessed paranormal enthusiast Matt Rife joins the 'Ghost Adventures' team in an upcoming episode set in the Nevada desert, as they investigate the reportedly haunted Whiskey Pete's Hotel and Casino.

The episode airs in the US on Wednesday, May 7 at 10pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel, with streaming available the following day on discovery+ and Max.

Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley travel to Primm, Nevada, to conduct a full overnight lockdown at the sprawling hotel and casino, which has recently closed its doors. Known for its links to violent crime, unsolved mysteries and sightings of unexplained phenomena, the building is said to be haunted by the spirit of its namesake - a notorious bootlegger known as Whiskey Pete.

The team are joined on this investigation by Matt Rife, who brings both humour and a genuine curiosity to the lockdown. In the preview, the group can be seen navigating dim corridors and shadowy casino floors as they attempt to make contact with whatever energy lingers in the building.

From the outset, the team report feeling the oppressive energy within the building, with moments of unexplained activity and a sense of being watched. With the help of the latest ghost-hunting technology and immersive techniques, they attempt to uncover the truth behind the reports of ghostly encounters, cold spots and mysterious sounds that have long been associated with the location.

Whiskey Pete's has a long and colourful history, having operated on and off since the 1970s. Built near the state line, it became popular with both locals and tourists, but beneath the surface of its glitzy casino floor, stories of hauntings and violent incidents have persisted for decades.

'Ghost Adventures: Whiskey Pete's' premieres Wednesday 7 May at 10pm ET/PT on Discovery Channel, and is available to stream the next day on discovery+ and Max.
