High Wycombe Railway Station - Haunted History

High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Chiltern Railways station on the main line between Beaconsfield and Saunderton is said to be haunted by they ghostly sound of footsteps. Staff have reported hearing the disembodied footsteps walking along the stone ballast that the tracks are laid on. Many staff are said to have gone to investigate the sound, suspecting someone was trespassing on the lines, but no one is ever found and the footsteps continue.
