The Witch Farm
The hot topic in the paranormal world right now is the case of a haunting that terrorised Bill and Liz Rich after moving into Heol Fanog, their dream home on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The case is currently the subject of debate amongst supernatural sleuths thanks to Danny Robins' new podcast series, 'The Witch Farm'.

Listeners trying to solve this paranormal cold case now have the chance to get a little bit closer to the investigation and chat with the podcast's host Danny Robins and his panel of experts.

The new true-crime-style podcast series from BBC Sounds focuses on the family at the centre of a haunting, which has had believers and skeptics alike scratching their heads since 1989.

Danny, the balanced host, has meticulously researched the background to the case, which troubled the Rich family for six years, with help from the desperate mother at the centre of the case, Liz Rich herself. Danny is also supported by analysis from academics in the paranormal field - Ciarán O'Keeffe - a ghost hunter and parapsychologist working out of Buckinghamshire New University, and Evelyn Hollow - a writer and parapsychologist from Edinburgh.

So far we've heard about the family's unexplained exorbitant electricity bills, unsettling footsteps heard in the otherwise empty farmhouse, the inexplicable death of several farm animals, and the unnerving tales of strange happening shared with Liz and Bill by a terrified local plumber.

If you've been listening along to all the twists and turns and formulating your own theory, or perhaps just have a burning question about the paranormal activity described at Heol Fanog so far, the good news is that on Halloween night you'll be able to talk it through with the stars of the podcast.

Next week, episode three of the eight-part series will be released on Monday, October 31. Not wanting to leave followers of the series high and dry on the spookiest night of the year, Danny, along with Ciarán and Evelyn, will be tweeting during a live listen-along starting at 9pm on that day.

Speaking in this week's episode, Danny told listeners how they can get involved, "join me and our experts on Twitter, we will all press play at exactly 9pm UK time on Halloween night and you can listen and react to the episode simultaneously with other 'witch farmers' all around the world."

Danny will also be hosting a live Twitter Spaces discussion immediately after the episode. This is your chance to ask Danny and the team all of your questions about the case.

In the next episode, we hear about the first of the apparitions that are witnessed in the house. Evelyn explained how this is a huge turning point in the story, "apparitions, especially full-bodied ones are incredibly rare and this is the point in the case where it changes. There is no longer 'something' in the house, there is now 'someone' in the house."

Join Danny and his panel on Twitter at 9pm on Monday, October 31 with the lights off and episode three of 'The Witch Farm' ready to play on BBC Sounds.
