The Haunted Hunts: Project Invocation - 'Ivy House'

Lead by Danny Moss, The Haunted Hunts team are back for their fourth season entitled 'Project Invocation'. In the third episode the team visit Warrington to investigate an abandoned house which is now said to be home to spirits.

The team are informed prior to the investigation that lead investigator Danny and his fellow investigator Rebecca Salisbury-Moss won't be attending this investigation. This is all the rest of the team know in advance, they don't even know where they are going and are not armed with the history of the location.

So it's down to Emma Dawe, Charlie Rutter and Roxanne Rutter who will be told which tactics and methods to use during their investigation upon arrival, which means the team really are in the dark and will be pushed outside of their comfort zone and to the limits of fear. The experiment is designed to test if fear itself can invoke paranormal activity.

At the start of the episode, Rox said "I think they think it's a good idea, but I personally think it's going to be completely different with just three of us." Charlie wondered, "is that going to make us more vulnerable as well?" He added, "I think tonight is going to be interesting."

After being given nothing more than a postcode on the morning of the investigation, the trio found themselves ts Ivy House where instructions were waiting for them telling them which team members should go where during the night and what techniques to use.

Once alone in the house, things get more terrifying for the team as they're split up to conduct a series of lone vigils. Charlie was alone in a room nicknamed the ritual room. The space is littered with various items including a Ouija board that has been used there. Emma was alone in the derelict bathroom, while Rox braved the dining room.

Each of the team members reported feeling uneasy on their lone vigils, but they caught some interesting sounds on camera during their vigils and with static cameras placed around the property.

Already feeling nervous, the team come together for a group vigil at the top of the stairs. Feeling like the atmosphere had totally changed, a wave of unexplained activity began to sweep through the house including phantom voices and disembodied footsteps. The team were now feeling particularly unsettled, with even Charlie admitting he was feeling on edge.

They capture some more interesting evidence and what could have been a Class A EVP, or Electronic Voice Phenomenon. This is a form of spirit communication that involves capturing the sound of spirit voices in audio recordings.

At the end of the night, Charlie described Ivy House as a "fantastic location". Rox said, "I think it made it worse with just the three of us investigating." Emma added, "probably one of the most horrific [investigations] I've done in a long time."

With Emma, Rox and Charlie off the hook, it's Danny and Becki who will be put to the test in the next episode at another terrifying location where they'll be given another set of taxing challenges to test their nerve and push them to the limits of their fear. We'll be bringing you an episode guide for the fourth instalment of 'Project Invocation' tomorrow.
