Farnham Library - Haunted History

Farnham Library, Surrey

Farnham, Surrey

The library in Farnham is said to be haunted by the spirit of King Charles I. During the Civil War he was sentenced to death for treason and held in Vernon House, which now houses the town's library. He was later sent to London where he was beheaded. Witnesses have claimed that his spirit returns to the building and have reported seeing his apparition.
