Loughmoe Castle - Haunted History

Templemore, Tipperary

This ruined castle in the village of Loughmore, near Templemore in County Tipperary, Ireland is said to be haunted by a male spirit who's believed to have taken their own life at the castle in the mid 18th century.

The oldest part of the castle was originally built in the 15th or 16th centuries and consists of a four-storey tower-house. Additions were made by the Purcell family in the seventeenth century. The family lived in Loughmoe Castle until around 1760.
