Ghost Adventures Season 17
British fans of Zak Bagans and the 'Ghost Adventures' crew will finally get to catch up with the new episodes of the long-running US ghost hunting show as a new series comes to the Really channel on May 22nd as part of the channel's weekly #Freakend schedule.

Here in the UK, Really has become the go to channel for US paranormal television shows. The station offers two nights of ghostly shows every Thursday and Friday night, a weekly programming event that they called the #Freakend. The channel have announced that new episodes of Zak and his team's adventures will air at 9pm on Friday evenings.

It's a little hard to keep track of which seasons we've seen here in the UK, as Really number the seasons differently to the US numbering system. The last season shown in the UK ended with an investigation of Las Vegas's oldest gentleman's club, the Palomino Club. In the US this was actually episode two of season 18.

Really haven't yet announced how many new episodes will air in this new run of 'Ghost Adventures', but British viewers are yet to see most of season 18 and all of season 19 - a total of 26 episodes that are as-yet unaired in the UK.

The new season will follow Zak Bagans and Aaron Goodwin, along with AV techs Billy Tolley and Jay Wasley as they use the latest scientific gadgets and technology in order to try to obtain evidence of the paranormal and uncover the truth behind each of the new location's haunted histories.

The news season fills the slot of Zak's spin-off miniseries, 'Serial Killer Spirits' which comes to an end after its fourth episode the week before.

Locations that feature in the series will include the Lutes Casino in Arizona, Colorado's Melrose Hotel, the Crescent Hotel in Arkansas, and the 127-year-old St. Ignatius Hospital in Washington.

Zak and the crew will also investigate Mount Wilson Ranch - a mysterious ranch in Nevada known for its concentration of supernatural energy, aggressive paranormal activity at California's Union Hotel, and claims of ghostly children at Idaho State Tuberculosis Hospital.

Other haunted destinations that are likely to appear in the series include the Woodbury in California, Binion's Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and a haunting at a private home in Amarillo, Texas, as well as a haunted home in Scottsdale, Arizona that is said to be sitting on land once occupied by a Native American tribe where the owner claims he's been affected by a dark, aggressive energy.

The #Freakend kicks off on a Thursday night with new episodes of 'Portals To Hell' at 9pm, a US ghost hunting show that follows the investigations of Jack Osbourne and Katrina Weidman. Then at 10pm on Thursday, fans of the paranormal are treated to another serving of Katrina alongside Nick Groff as viewers get another chance to see classic episodes of 'Paranormal Lockdown'. Here in the UK, the series is being billed as 'Paranormal Lockdown US', and although the show is new to Really, it actually pre-dates the recent UK series and has previously been shown on Quest Red in the UK.

The network's ghostly offering continues from 9pm on Friday night with a double bill of Zak Bagans. New 'Ghost Adventures' starts things off at 9pm, and at 10pm repeats of Zak's 'Deadly Possessions'.

You can watch all these shows on Really on your television in the United Kingdom and Ireland on Freeview (17), Sky (142), Virgin Media (129) and Freesat (160), plus YouView, BT TV and TalkTalk TV. Or watch previous episodes of #Freakend shows on demand on dplay.
