While there's a clear winner for what to watch at 8pm, an hour later the competition heats up for primetime Halloween night. There's Halloween offerings from Ghosts of Britain and The Ouija Brothers, plus Most Haunted's big annual live special, and a couple of unmissable Halloween shows to choose from on television.

It's no surprise that Lee and Linzi of Ghosts Of Britain are going big on Halloween. Having recently broken the huge milestone of two million followers on their Facebook page, the ghost-hunting couple will be embarking on a week of Halloween ghost hunts. You can watch live each night from 9pm on their Facebook page.

Starting Monday, October 25 they'll be investigating several creepy locations including Elsecar Heritage Centre and what's been dubbed one of Barnsley's most haunted and historical buildings. The weeklong event culminates on Halloween night with a live investigation kicking off at 9pm from a very haunted location in York, a historic city that's famous for its hauntings.

Ste and Griff return with a live Halloween investigation. The live stream will begin at 9pm on the night of Halloween and will feature the usual team, including Yvette Fielding, Karl Beattie, Stuart Torevell, Glen Hunt and other familiar faces.

The two-hour documentary uncovers a secret diary revealing shocking new details of a real demonic possession of a 13-year-old boy, Roland Doe. The young boy reported 'strange things' happening in his bedroom - specifically, strange noises, scratches, and his mattress moving on its own accord. The case went on ti inspire the iconic 1973 horror film, 'The Exorcist'.

On Gold at 9pm there's another chance to see Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton attempt to recreate the immersive fear of a live television broadcast gone wrong. The Halloween special was broadcast in 2018 with a mix of live footage of the cast in the studio, plus real and mocked up archive footage in order to tell a compelling story. The episode is based on the real-life stories of hauntings and mishaps at the famous Granada television studios in Manchester.
