Joaquin Phoenix takes on the iconic role of The Joker in the 2019 movie set in the DC Comics universe. The Joker has always been a strong dress-up favourite, so his return this year is sure to boost the number of people dressing as the supervillain.
Another infamous character returning to the big screen this year was Chucky. The terrifying, killer doll has been given a makeover for the latest 'Child's Play' movie. There's no doubt that the not so loveable kid's toy will be a popular costume choice this October.
