The Haunted Hunts: Cemeteries Of The Dead - 'Samlesbury Hall'

Danny Moss and 'The Haunted Hunts' team head to Lancashire for the final episode of their fifth season, entitled 'Cemeteries Of The Dead'. Danny, along with Rebecca Salisbury-Moss, Emma Dawe, Charlie Rutter, Roxanne Rutter, Alice Grindley and Nick Anderson, will spend the night investigating Samlesbury Hall, another haunted location with mysterious connections to on-site burials.

At the start of the episode, Danny said, "now we face one final task. Samlesbury Hall, I place this location within the top five most haunted buildings in the UK."

Upon arrival at the hall, which dates back to 1525, Danny was greeted by historian and tour guide, Simon Entwistle. He told Danny, "if this building could talk, it would tell you about ghosts, murders and indeed mysteries." He goes on to tell Danny about the house's three murders, one suicide and one execution.

Samlesbury Hall is now a museum showcasing the rich history it holds. Its original features date back to 1384 and the building is said to have been the place of a Priest's untimely death. Ever since that day, it's said that a mysterious blood stain appears on the floor of the room where he died.

After their chat with Simon, the team ended their first day at the hall by conducting a pre-investigation to get a feel for the building and collect base line readings.

On day two, Nick and Alice rigged the property with locked off cameras and the team began their nightlong investigation. Then while Nick and Alice monitored the camera feed, the rest of the team headed out into the property.

Danny, Emma and Rox started out in the parlour, where Emma was equipped with headphones and an ultra-sensitive microphone to allow her to hear subtle sounds that the human ear might not pick up on. Meanwhile, Charlie and Becki were on the top floor in one of the bedrooms, where they found themselves surrounded by unsettling dolls. During their vigil in this area they heard creaking floorboards coming from the long gallery, a door rattling and even a knock on a door.

The team later gathered together in an attempt to capture evidence of the cause of the sounds Becki and Charlie had heard. As Danny called out, an ultra-sensitive microphone placed in the long gallery captured the sound of creaking floorboards.

Towards the end of the investigation, the team's locked off cameras captured over the space of four minutes what Danny describes as a "gigantic wave of paranormal activity." This included an interesting black mass seen in a doorway.

Samlesbury Hall marks an end to the team's mission to uncover the mysteries of haunted burial sites, but if you've missed anything we've got a full guide to the series here. The episode also saw the final appearance of team members, Charlie and Roxanne, who are moving on from the show after being apart of it since its inception.

A statement posted online said, "Charlie and Rox have been a huge part of #TheHauntedHunts team over the last seven years and have been popular both on our public investigations as well as the TV show. We would like to offer our biggest thanks for everything they have brought to the team and we part ways with some incredible memories."
