'Devil's Road: The True Story Of Ed & Lorraine Warren' a film about the famed husband-and-wife paranormal team has picked up the gold award for the Best Paranormal Documentary of 2020.

The one-off television documentary explores the story behind paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Over their 50-year career, the Warrens investigated thousands of hauntings, including the famous Amityville case and the real-life Rhode Island home that 'The Conjuring' is based on.

The win was announced during this year's Paranormal Entertainment Awards, which were dished out during an online virtual event that was watched by thousands of fans of supernatural entertainment and ghost hunting. The winners were selected by the public who voted more than 75,000 times on a shortlist made up of paranormal entertainment that was nominated by the public earlier in the year.

The documentary was part of a new "shockumentary" series commissioned by the US Travel Channel, but also aired on British sister channel, Really over Halloween.
